Our vision for funding Friends of Internationals-Clemson BCM is 2-Fold: First, God must provide missionary support and second, He must provide ministry support. What follows is our understanding of how God is directing us to ask for both.
Missionary support is financial support that is supplied to the missionary (Jon & Alana Varner) in the form of salary. Our most basic vision for missionary support is for individuals and families to set up monthly financial partnerships. There are 3 ways this can be done and each of these are funneled through the North American Mission Board (SBC) qualifying your gift(s) as tax deductible contributions:
1. Online Contributions can be set up HERE. This will take you to our MSC Missionary Support Page. Once there click on the “Give Now!” button. Then enter: 1) your desired amount, 2) frequency and 3) number of payments.
2. Auto Draft can be set up so that your monthly gifts are drafted from your bank account saving you the checks and saving both NAMB and you the cost of mailing these back and forth. For more information about Auto Draft please contact Jon Varner at firstname.lastname@example.org or (864) 723-0821 to set up an appointment. Or if preferred, you may contact NAMB directly at MSC@namb.net or by calling (800) 426-8657 ext. 6473.
3. Checks can be mailed along with this form (Missionary Support Mail Form) to the:
North American Mission Board
ATTN: MSC Support-Accounting
PO Box 116543
Atlanta, GA 30368-6543
Please write on your check’s memo line: Jon Varner #9210
Once received at NAMB, a self-addressed envelope will be sent back for the next month.
Ministry support is financial support that is supplied to Friends of Internationals-Clemson BCM for planning and budgeting ministry expenses. Our most basic vision for ministry support is for Associations and Churches to promote and collect an Annual Offering for International Student Ministry. We recommend that this offering be collected during June & July each year and be promoted as a Summer Offering for International Student Ministry. These gifts can be made online HERE, brought to Clemson’s Baptist Student Center or mailed to:
Friends of Internationals
315 Wild Cherry Ln.
Clemson, SC 29631-1632
Some churches also desire to include Missionary Support and/or Ministry Support for Friends of Internationals in their annual budgets. This is also possible and can be done in the same ways described above.
